 blair
the halloween kitty
I rescued her
when I was still
in my early 30's
things to say about
this sweet cat
when she arrived
at my doorstep
she was so frail
and emaciated
but yet her fur
and the sweet
countenance on her face
cried for love
and a gentle embrace
it didn't take long
to put meat on her bones
she definately had
an appetite for
just about anything
food,music,love
she loved listening
to me playing the guitar
she would just drift off
in a slight dreamscape daze
I would play and then
I'd say.."how was that Blair?.."
and she would meow in response
she's up on the hill now
buried with a friend..
so sad to watch a loved one suffer so..
all creatures great and small
her little soul is with the great
cat maker..just waiting for me..
to meet her and stroke her fur
and strum her a tune on my guitar..
and think of a gentler kinder time..
