A life - over lunch -
shared with sipping
and bites -
and shades of past colour -
just out of sight...
A life - over lunch -
mixed with chatter
and cheers -
and lashes of laughter -
and trickles of tears...
A life - over lunch -
midst the clatter
of plates -
condensed into present -
less time left to fate....
A life - over lunch -
squeaking tables
and seats -
our talk merges easily -
our memories - sweet...
A life - over lunch -
filled with shadows
and light -
that flicker our faces -
in patterns - just right...
