 MY TRICYCLE

It was Christmas Eve
    And we could not understand
They wanted us to go to bed
We were so out of hand
Excitement it did fill us up
    Dad bought me a tricycle
He got it for three bucks
    He was putting it together
To a sound I did not know
    The noise went on forever
Curiosity did make me peek
It was red with a big horn
Twas gleaming and so sleek
I was only four years old
But I remember I didn't sleep
    When the morning came
I just wasn't the same
I did keep it a secret
That I knew it was for me
