 THE PASSAGE

Oh, death does await us
  whenever it's time
It did encounter mine
  and safely escaped.
Oh, the time remorsed,
  and did it I forced.
Coming back to life's
  dismal entwined lace.
Reality I did have to face.
  Little did I realize
It has made me more wise.
  Much of it passing,
Passing with time.
  Did I wish the suffering?
To death's dimise
  it was not my time.
