To My Daughters
Blessed are you whose seed shall birth
Children your own fold of great worth
You who toils with life at times
You I love and call too mine
Blessed are you the Matriarch
Beauty above all works of art
Who, like my mother would shelter me
From all harm, I would set free
Precious each one I made of you
Each one unique, I keep close to
Above all things that I made so
Above all else I'll not let go
Gentle as spring showers fall
This day called yours I too call
Your day to be a celebration
From Heavens gate pours my elation
Loved are you who keep my sons
Content to be and share the one
Who, made you so to love on them
To guide with kindness, to comprehend
Today know this and so much more
That though I'm here treasure I stored
On earth, that's you beloved mother
Not Mother Nature, with kisses smothered
Happy Mothers day, from your Father
