The Forgiving LORD
The Lord makes a path through the sea,
And a road through the strong currents;
He spares me from wrath that will be,
Blocking outside interference.
He leads the Humvees and the tanks,
Down into the depths of despair;
That causes the enemy ranks,
Never to recover from there.
For they have been gotten rid of,
And extinguished just like a wick;
They never knew or had the love,
From the Lord that His people pick.
So they forget about the past,
Not to dwell on things long ago;
And the memory will not last,
Just like the rushing waters flow.
God will be doing something new,
That just maybe happening now;
And we may not have a clear view,
Or know the when and where and how.
Maybe a river across the land,
To make a desert fertile ground;
And replacing the burning sand,
Where all the chosen will be found.
The animals that they will raise,
Will honor the Lord through the years;
Giving the Lord worship and praise,
Who will protect them from their fears.
