 The Big Picture
Talking with a friend today about the big picture;
Wondering will we ever fully know the answers.
Finding another puzzle piece of life's giant jigsaw;
Reaching out with a thirst to fully walk in our path.
Seeking the upstream source of the river of our life;
Seeing the twists, the turns, the natural flow of trust.
Becoming one with our purpose, one with our destiny;
Unifying our soul with the wisdom of an ancient one.
Climbing the mountain to see a great distance around;
My eyes and my heart open wide to discern the times.
From this perch, I see the beauty of another spring day;
With thankfulness, I begin to see the big picture of life.
Communing with a friend along the trail… I speak;
The shutters of my darkened existence flies wide open.
Received, welcomed, refreshed; the fellow sojourner walks;
Our eyes meet, we recognize that spark of existence within.
Two souls, united into one, time spanned in an instant;
Unique is this moment as we entered through the veil.
Redeeming the seeds of civilization, we become one soul;
Together we search the horizon, able to see the big picture.
