But a fragment
Before my eyes would come to be
Before mother I love dearly
I close them just to remember
The better part of me, the member
She is my heart that beats faintly
She is the breath I breathe too saintly
As time draws near, nearer still
To say goodbye as is Gods will
Behind eyelids I close and see
A younger woman who gave to me
A chance to be, to live before
To keep her as she was before
Whole not ill, her every days
The better ones, happy she'd say
Remember me but live yours now
Life abundant, I showed you how
Behind the panes of looking glass
Behind eyes close tears now I task
To hold back so she won't see me
Cry before her destiny
And though a fragment of what she was
I'll hold to her for now my cause
Will be to keep her forever here
Inside my heart, her better years
The doctors call her the comeback kid
I call her mom
