when you enter my mind
I get lost for words,cause
there are no words in the dictionary
that can explain how you made me feel.
My pain ever so deep,so real.
deeper than the underground....
let me take you back to that very first frown,
the one that wiped my smile away.
It all begin one beautiful summer day
you came home with one of your female friends,
to pratice playing the piano (so you two pretend)
silent giggles, warm smiles
an embracing look in your eyes
I knew then I was being placed to the back of the line
but I didn't care ,cause I felt as if you were mine
You came home one day and called up your friend,
tears in my eyes, heart on the floor
questioning myself (what did I do)?
I had one baby walking, and one to carry
as my heart listen to you on the phone
asking for her hand in marriage.
You told her you loved her, and that you didn't care who knew
but yet and stilled.... I loved you
You put me and my babies out in the streets
out in the hot sweaty summer heat
without any shoes on our feet.
You kick us out without a care in the world
for you, my dear......
had found yourself a brand new pearl.
I remember sitting outside on my moms porch
hearing sounds of rattling bells
it was you! passing by with much pride,
dragging cans and your new bride
The pain i felt made my whole heart melt
for a moment I felt like frozen ice
and the next thing i knew i was a flowing river
I was hurt so bad my bones begin to shiver
just a thought back makes me quivers
I wanted to run in my mothers arms
but her look was cold, as always it's never warm
You knew I had come from a home which showed no love
I always stayed hidden in a shell
till you came along and I fell in love
But you took your love back, how could you do that!
it was like clipping wings from a dove
so that it'll never fly, you left my heart bleeding
and I looked to you and asked why?
I was faithful to you the whole time
ten solid years, a whole dime
You were the only man on my mind
I revolved my whole world around you
and thats the honest truth, no else mattered
just you.
You had your new wife by your side
you moved her into the home which we once resided
a place so special we once shared, by you moving her in,
I knew then you never really cared.
You had forgotten about me and that was fine
but how could you forget about the kids, which are yours, and mine
so instead of one frown there were three
all because you were in love with she.....
anyways....
you moved out of town and left me here all alone
with two babies to raise all on my own
thats when another man came along...
all he wanted to do was to hold my broken fragile
heart into his hands...
He had proving to me that he was a real man
Then something went wrong with you and your wife,
thats when you tapped on my door and walked back into my life.
My man and you standing there,
but I left him like you did me without a care..
only because you still had my heart,and
from that day forward u ripped it apart.
Piece by piece till you swept me underneath your feet
I could no longer speak my mind
for I was under your spell
its like you took my love and cast it
in the midst of hell
but I loved you just like the sound of the freedom bell
You took your love from me so long ago
and on top of that you still ended up kicking me out the door
you brought me back to my home town
pulled off and left me and the kids with another frown.
I was sad and very depressed
standing there crying wondering
how did i get into this mess
Once again we left with no where to go,
me and my babies out the door,
catching their tears
as they fall to the floor.
The next night me and the kids caught the late night bus,
traveling back to you,just to ask why you didn't want us
You see I loved you more than anything that ever existed
The love I felt for you was truly a bliss.
But you missed out on what was just for you,
my heart...
I actually begged you if we could please stay,
praying in the back of my mind that you wouldn't send us away
You were to popular,and you didn't want to be seen,
with Miss Black Beauty Swan of a King.
You made me keep my head down in shame
You start reminding me of my daddy...
nasty and evil...
so I started screaming your name
You took my heart and gave it to the wolves
to eat upon my flesh
I use to cry and cry,and ask GOD was this
some kind of test, because when it came to loving
you I gave it my best...
and you wasn't a bit amused
I felt like a fool in love alone
wondering where had your love gone
why didn't you just hold on
why did you let me slip away
but I never gotten and answer till this very day.
You sit among this world as if you're a king
people adored you, but hated me as your queen.
If they only knew the troubles of my heart which you so much caused
they would see that you also have faults
You had more ladies friends than I could count on hand,
but poor faithful little me ran from every man.
Because my heart stood by the only man I needed,
but your cold selfish heart deceived it.
You manage to take me from me,
stealing my dignity.
You had full control of everything I did.
You manipulated my mind,
no longer could I think for myself.
Whatever I said, I was always wrong.
But still in my heart you forever belonged.
These are just some of the cruel things you did.
The list is much to long, so I started in the middle,
because thats where my heart hurts, right in the center..
You try so hard to always break me down
I think you loved it when I frowned
Being with you is like being with pain,
the kind that attempts to drive you insane.
You're like a permanent stain on my heart,
from your torture I can never depart.
I'm tired of being the one whom stand accused
my mind you mentally abused,
and I refuse to continue letting you put me down..
its time now that you start wearing the frowns
All this pain you caused.
I just hope it was worth your while,
because I'm still a million miles from a smile
