Sitting upon the store shelf
Staring at customers
Who walk by
They are more involved
With the baked beans
While I sit patiently and sigh
At first they placed me
Beside the cornflakes
Have a hearty breakfast my dear
Moving next for encouragement
To the fruit section
Apparently it all became clear
An afternoon on dairy was quite enough
The camembert
Sniffed in disdain
The muffins
And the cupcakes
Laughed at me just
Because I was plain
There wasn't a spot
Which was truly my own
I gazed at trolleys being stocked
Everyone else
Was being chosen
I was left to be mocked
Life aint great
When nobody wants you
Alone on the shelf
I am forced to stay
Before I am well past my sell by date
Won't someone take me home to play?
