Love songs on the radio;
Couples walking hand in hand.
I look into my life and see
Emptiness, colorless and bland.
Love songs in the air create
That intoxicating dance.
This moment mocks my heart
Of unfulfilled romance.
Love songs echo in my head;
The spring brings new love.
Yet within me is a barren
Heart felling unworthy of.
Love songs sung by birds;
All creation under it's spell.
My tears fall to the ground
Alone in this living hell.
Love songs assault my ears;
I want love so bad… so bad.
In stillness my heart beats
Out a song so sad… so sad.
Love songs on the radio;
Couples walking hand in hand.
Melancholic waiting for my turn
To enter love's promised land.
