Christian Obligations
Although you have always obeyed,
You have not always gone and prayed;
Not only must you walk His way,
You have to talk to Him each day.
So you must more now than ever,
Not let the discussions sever;
Prayer is your communication,
Connected to your salvation.
It is God, who makes desire,
For willpower to acquire;
In doing all that is pleasing,
To the Lord and is appeasing.
For willpower does motivate,
Your interests as to captivate;
A desire in doing your best,
And God ensures you will be blest.
Do it all without any complaints,
And you will have less restraints;
To perform and do not argue,
Just thinking of how to construe.
So you will remain competent,
And be blameless and innocent;
If you do as the Lord has asked,
In accomplishing as you were tasked.
That is why you must go and pray,
And listen for what God has to say;
You will shine like the stars at night,
Pure as snow while shining bright.
