Accessory to what:- life?
What life, you call this a life?
When I look around what do I see?
Nothing, that’s the American dream.
A whole bunch, of nothing, fools gold!
We came into the cities, bought into the dream.
Became accessories to capitalism.
Instead of a dream it became a nightmare.
We were chasing a will o the wisp
told no end was in sight to our dreams.
Now staring down the years at the ruins of life,
we realise it was all lies.
Nowhere to go; it all ends here;
The American dream R.I.P
We’re an accessory to radical evil, unnoticed by
"The people’
The banks' diversity took the dream, and we,
Cast aside, only an accessory, bit of bling;- Useless.
Our cities, and our American dream lies in ruins.
These days, helplessness, we are the lost and found.
Here we remain an accessory to the American dream.
