Feel Free To Criticize Me

Feel free to criticize me,
my life my ART.
Hopefully my poetry
can send a SPARK
of open mindedness
directly into your HEART.
Our society is indeed
in need of something positive;
please step aside and allow
a humble poet to do his PART.
If you do not like
the way in which I write
or the way in which I SPEAK;
I will say this crystal clear
so that I won't have to REPEAT;
"you and I are slices from the same democratic pie.
We're both protected by freedom of SPEECH."
A bulletproof poet is not what I am,
I've been hurt by criticism BEFORE.
As long as wickedness exist in this world,
a humble poet will continue to perform
this ongoing ENCORE.
Positive Poetry will no longer be IGNORED,
just because an unhappy critic
chooses to wage a lyrical WAR.
Criticism is an unfortunate part
of artistic LIFE.
A humble poet will never use
foul language out of SPITE.
I can not allow your darkness
to eclipse the rays of my literary LIGHT.
Feel FREE to criticize me VERBALLY
if that's what makes you HAPPY.
Meanwhile, a humble poet must continue
to walk along the path toward a poetic DESTINY.
