Parent Be careful
How often one can hear this coming from the mouth of a mother
Saying belittlingly to their sons “You are behaving just like your father
On an occasion when she may deem his behavior
Is such, that she may not consider it to be proper.
Let say for instance, that he relationship has gone sour
Whether it be one's fault or the other, no matter
But do not try to plant in the mind of the son
That his father may be responsible; for all that went wrong.
This, being done so often; May then cause the youngster
To really have a very dim look at the man who is his father
As he is being programmed to believe, that his dad is always associated
With mannerisms which should not be emulated.
Most youngsters, more often than not revere their father
And in their eyes, their dads are nothing short of being heroes
Therefore by telling them, that when they behave in such a manner
Is representative of their fathers could be a passport to disaster.
Now if a youngster's behavior is such that it is not becoming
Find a very different way, not name calling, of handling
