 The Road I Pray
Today your trek will wind and curve
Of things asked for and undeserved
How will you wheel your way around
The pitfalls set on stomping grounds

Each step we take and breath inhaled
Upon waking today where fail
Rears its ugly head again
As road you walk takes vicious bends

You'll come across the many there
Passing through the road they bare
Upon their face, hung are blank stares
A need to hold, a crave for care

A brief hello along this path
A hand outstretched may help outlast
The lonely road that is ahead
Where restless walk the throngs misled

Hope was crushed before they came
To crossroads reached filled with but pain
The search to reach the point, the end
If just to rest if time should lend

A word to still the soul in need
A rope thrown clear to intercede
On their behalf to help them through
If just but one, in prayer too

Photobucket

The road I pray becomes this day
