Now I lay me down to sleep What should I pray for as I weep The old that need our patient care The lost who need a guiding prayer A women that needs a strong right arm Infants who heal all with their charms The men that fight themselves for right Students who carry on that fight Children that have nowhere to turn Families who've lost all hope to earn The "Great Spirit" needs help with his plan To expel all the evil from this land I feel that all humans need to blame To confront this evil from whence it came I must look at myself to voice my claims because evil is inside all human frames When man has learned to control his greed Only then will the better man succeed Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
