On a summer's day
Daydream of a country,
Laying down its arms.
Gentle hands caress me,
Doing me no harm.
Sheep cry for nothing,
Pretty Bluebirds sing,
On a summer's day.
Stroll in shady orchards,
Kicking random stones.
Still not moving forward,
Cooling breezes blown.
Calmly sorting daydreams.
Sorting into kinds.
Absorbing all that is real,
Satisfies my mind.
Gaze across a wheat field,
Wading in the pond.
Knowing all that is real,
Caught before it's gone.
Sheep cry for nothing,
Pretty Bluebirds sing,
On a summer's day
On a summer’s day
