Here I sit in my nightcap looking for something to
write about. So I let my mind go wandering.
Satin pink flamingos dance across the lawn.
The moon was full and shows their shadows
dancing with them. The lake looked like pudding,
chocolate with a lemon stripe. Lions, tigers, and bears
peek from everywhere. They wait for their turn to drink
and to come out and play.
Scooters flying by, off to see their lovers.
But I sit alone well I don't have to tell
you just how much I love you, and what
you mean to me. See how hard it is to do
something without the thought of you.
You fill my brain. When I'm awake or
asleep your being dances across my mind.
Makes it hard to think of anything else.
You are beautiful above all beauty. Best
of all the rest. You are kind and sweet and
gentle. I am proud to know you. I love you.
But then my mind goes wandering.
