I won you at the carnival
And my mommy bought you
At the store..
I had just two fish..
But the yellow carnival fish
Loved the blue one
Mommy brought through the door..
And now there are more!
1,2,3....
What comes after three?
That's as old as me
Let's see..
OOH
Now the hedgehog
Is doing something cool
And my crab likes to sit with me
In my favorite wading pool..
I have all these pets
I adore..
Each one for at least
1/2hour, maybe more..
But right now I'm two and 1/2
Almost three
And I have all this love
Inside of me..
So Mr. Hedgehog
You get an hour..
And Miss Crabby afterwords
Let's go check out the flowers..
And maybe when I'm 4 or 5
I'll make my rounds
And see if blue fish
Is still alive..
I love you all
My heart is so big..
But my mommy says something called
My 'ttention span
Is really small..
And so some of the time
I forget to love you all..
One carnival fish
Blue store fish
Makes two..
My hedgehog and crab
I love all of you..
Just give me an hour
A day
Or a year or two..
And I will remember
How much I loved
Each one of you!
