For Ally of Kaitlin
In loss your days do not appeal
To heart that reels and also feels
Her time too short to leave like this
Laughter hers, kisses missed
A missing piece that made up you
Mother, Ally with my words few
I pray for peace to find a place
In heart broken of her still traced
She filled a void upon this Earth
Though short was life, angelic birth
Came to be the love you nursed
Deep I task to find the words
To heal what ails, if mine you heard
It would be that I cry with you
Mother of child my heart does too
Rising seems to task your day
Without her and yesterdays
Seems there is no reason to
Go on with life of she who grew
Seven years of age
Seven years of her you page
Through photos some in grief engaged
Be all that you can be this day
Hold to the breath that's made a way
To see and hold what still is yours
Again in arms Kaitlin assured
