Have you ever met a writer, so sad
That their pen died in their hand?

I have..

For I looked in the mirror, today
And my heart
and
My head
Full of dismay
I met myself
And had to look away..

I wanted to give up
To give in..
To hand over
My once flowing pen..

To resolve this heartache
I don't know where to begin
Or how to make it end..

So until then

I lay down my pen
And
Ask you to care for it

While I wipe the despair
From the pages
And
Magic flows from it
Once again..
