I saw a train today and noticed the open doors on a railroad car
In the same direction it was moving and it didn't seem that far
I imagined myself running and catching up with fantastic speed
I hurled myself in not knowing its destination or having the need
I felt comfort in the rocking motion and the sound against the tracks
I watched the landscape change in scenery as the settings moved past
Soon I lost sight of it as it disappeared into the wooded terrain
I was back in my car with my little one yelling "mommy where's the train?!?"
I told her it went into the woods because it was traveling a different course
That there will be another train that's meant just for us without any tracks or doors
