Piskies and pirates and smuggling too
They`re all in Cornwall here for you
Ship wrecks and looting and legends galore
Tales of mermaids you just can`t ignore.
Dolphins and seals swim close to the shore
And buried treasure there is for sure,
Take a torch if into the fogou you go
If you`re claustrophobic then don`t go.
Go to Poldhu Cove where Marconi went
From where the first transatlantic message was sent,
Or Goonhilly Earth Station it tracks satellites
Take a tour it holds many delights.
Go down a tin mine but wear your hat
Or ride a Cornish Camel, how about that!
Daphne du Maurier`s house is for sale
In that house she wrote more than one tale.
Go to St. Michael`s Mount there is a way
Cross at low tide via the causeway,
The seal sanctuary is a good day out
In Culdrose there are always helicopters about.
I could go on and on and tell you more
There`s a shed load more to see for sure,
A beautiful beach is never far away
Where you can spend an enjoyable day.
