A search for joy
Once there were some fairies
Dancing, round and round.
Looking for some good to do
They found a sad, sad town.
They sprinkled lots of fairy dust
To make the people glad.
But all the sprinkling did not help
Which made the fairies sad.
Seeking help, they asked the wizard,
But he could do no good.
All his magic wouldn't work
Like he thought it should.
They went to the King asking him
For a proclamation.
"Commanding them did no good"
he reported to the nation.
They went and ask this poet,
If I could make a rhyme?
So I sat and thought and thought,
For a long long time.
What I did come up with
After just a little while.
I read it to the villagers
And it made them to smile.
The fairies were so happy
They jumped right off the ground.
The people laughed and danced along,
Pure joy they finally found.
