 318. Kissing the Sun
“My soul leaned up and kissed your lips through my flesh and the moment we touched I felt as if I'd kissed the sun.” ~ Christa Rucker

I remember the moment
So long ago
And yet
I can close
My eyes
And it is as if
It were only
One breath ago…

You were the Moon
All soft silky
Cream white
Skin glowing
Softly in the night
When I left
The smell of
Heaven on
Your pillow.

The sound of
Your cherub
Still echoes in
My mind,
Her laughter
As she dashed
In and out
Of Pegasus'
Legs with a
Only three year olds

When will we
Dance this dance
Again across
The celestial
Floor of eternity
My love?
When will the
Moon turn round
Full to the sun
And be kissed
And again?
