Chapters of Goodbyes
Pondered thoughts of past and present
Attached to heart life's effervescence
Like old book pages will turn
All that you lived, of things you learned
As child lonesome at times your friend
Seemed like your best whose time would lend
A peace of mind but sighs would come
To interrupt the moment done
You came of age to fall in love
More pup, rewind these moments of
Innocence you left behind
Your better part now hard to find
Teen years some good, somewhere in mind
Days of old again of time
That flew right by stop signs ignored
In these chapters wished had some more
All those you knew family and friends
Would seem like never more would end
Leaving behind what you now store
Inside memory wish had much more
You'd lose all those you once held to
Through good and wrong that made up you
The man or woman that you see
Upon life's mirror above vanity
Grow old and age has come of you
Where happy days colored now blue
Moving slower when once you ran
Like Super girl or Superman
These days no more can be again
But in your heart when then was when
You still dream of when eyes yours close
Of chapters, dreams and stories told
In life and death many shall pass
In breath today you'll breathe the past
For nothing less will live forever
As chapters yours no one can sever
Chapters of Goobyes
