A Debt Of Multitudes
Once again someone will pay
A debt not owed yet like love slave
She'll be sound board to work out on
To think happy was once upon
His day taken to an extreme
To bounce off walls as if she seemed
Like toy all his, ignoring screams
Before children and friends she'd bare
Insults verbal and fists that swear
To wipe her off this Earth today
If she could, just find her way
Away from him who makes life feel
That when he strikes a piece he steals
Of her courage and dignity
Clearly stricken of no pity
To have, to hold, to protect her
Went out the door and days better
Cannot come to mind these days
Scared beyond belief she stays
Wishing, prayers to anyone
That hears her voice, be that someone
To step up to the plate and hit
This thug, knock out, upon him spit
Beyond approach out there someone
Resides in life slowly undone
Another smack, a choke hold paired
With legs that kick without a care
I wish for every woman who
Became victim would see it through
Another day but in light of
A need to leave, to rise above
There are no circumstances to
Hang in with hope where once I do
Stood for more than a beat down
Respond my fault, while on the ground
My hope someone who reads this one
Becomes aware of bye gones be gone
For in their wake another wave
Of torment comes, their price to pay
Ladies, the days of the Cave man are over for Rover
