 Reopened Door
I was blessed with an A/P interview last Tuesday
Through a series of events on my job search journey
I began to see more clearly how God reopened a door
Evidence that He is in control with a plan forevermore

When I applied for an unrelated position the end of July
God allowed HR to call me and I would later learn why
The job was not a fit, but she offered an opening in A/P
I indicated then I had a potential purchasing opportunity

If my situation changed, she had that position yet to fill
In prior failed A/P interviews God was preparing me still
A month later and some miscommunication of the agency
God opened my eyes to see A/P as an option of viability

Through a friend, God led me to consider an online class
With affordable rate and certificate of completion if I pass
They had one for accounts payable with managers in view
I registered and began last week, learning things brand new

A week before, I saw a temp only listing for an A/P position
With potential temp to hire, but I noted this as confirmation
Same company as July, sensing His hand all along the way
The lady in HR remembered me and sent an email same day

She wanted to be sure I would stay with it for the long haul
Beyond just a temp and what had changed my mind after all
I stated my interest in the position and prospect of temp to hire
Realizing not many jobs now which match my skills out there

She would have another company email assessment testing
It came but it referenced Cornerstone so I continued waiting
I had also applied for A/P position online with them same day
Follow up email verified they utilized Cornerstone in that way

Last Monday, I completed the tests, apologizing for the delay too
That afternoon, after her review, she called to schedule an interview
I met with her Tuesday afternoon and two ladies from A/P separately
Almost a week and no reply, but such decisions are not often promptly

The interview went pretty well, considering my lack of on hands experience
From my previous employer, I described all contact with A/P in relevance
She began by asking me again to explain how my switch to A/P came about
That is one area I do not sense I provided her a clear answer without a doubt

On the way home, the Holy Spirit brought to mind my experience with Noll
Two failed 10-key tests in June to early July were all part of His plan I know
He revealed positions were the same, first with agency, no chance for interview
Less keystrokes now by company and new test, God enabled me to pass too

I am not a failure in God's sight for He looks beyond my faults through the cross
The world has a totally different value system in how they measure success or loss
God does not weigh words I say in an interview or if I forget two people's names
He understands my voice was weak that day for His love for me is always the same

God has been teaching me that no matter what happens, He will make a way
He may choose to say not yet, since this position would involve a cut in pay
Also to test my faith if I would be committed to finish the online class in A/P
Or by unemployment soon up for extension if there is a gap in benefits to me
