 Of Warmer Days

It does not matter though distance drew
A line across the hands I knew
The softer side of life appealed
The lighter side now lost I feared

Words alone won't move me pass
What use to be I thought could last
It seems move on I can't ignore
What heart took on, of love it stores

There's not a moment of the day
Where drift I do and often stray
Like child to secret place once played
The wish for better days had stayed

Simple is this write that sings
A tad off key to mind that brings
The better voice that is all yours
Today again this place I tour

No camera in hand to bring
Nor video to prove of wings
Embracing me from cold again
A better place where beats pretend
As wish but one came close, so true
Proof in hand, feathers of you

This day will reel a chapter in
A time precious again to win
The heart of hearts once held and won
If for awhile, warmed by the Sun
