Where my very soul how it lingers upon hilly tops
Where the fragrents of lemon gums it never stops
Where views down below is of the greenest of crops
Where wildlife's a company and the kangaroo hops
There I can survey all a country life ever so grand
Where peace of mind's abtainable many don't understand
That there's a life one was born to out on the land
And where one can be happy in this life of demand
There's memories so wonderful since one was a child
Life carries on with love,friendship and attitudes mild
Where one can reap what they sow in a way never wild
Contentment a part of it all in a way never been filed
Where a country boy bred and born till a country boy dies
And all is so organized and wonderful except for the flies
Where slip rails once existed and the crow it still cries
Where a soul can relax and without that world of surprise
With sheer determination to have everything simply right
The pleasure of gazing at a sea of brightest stars at night
Sitting on the front step and holding those one love's so tight
While watching purple hazes as the day slips slowly from sight
Knowing one's always done their best for loved ones and family
It's all a God given gift of a wonderful life in all sincerity
Where one can still be so proud of children as they are of me
And the very one that you married is true love's own destiny.
