THE VISITOR
He came today, the little bird
And perched upon my windowsill
He saw the feeder
Full of Life
Repast was his
Yet, still...
His tiny feathers fluttered
As his eyes patrolled with seasoned care
And when he spied me through the pane
His wings unfurled and found the air
Tomorrow when the sun wakes up
Perhaps he'll come
and stay to sup...
