''Folly''

''Half A Promise''

Half a season
half a day
half an hour
half an age

Half finished notebooks
and notebooks half finished

Pages left scattered
in an early morning rage
lay covered in dew
bleeding moisture
on the cool ground

Half a promise
half a promise kept.
Half a challenge
half a challenge met!

Cursing all that comes.

3).
The warmth of romance
In early fall
When everything lovely shines
against the winding Grey
all about
or the Moon at play

The dawn will laugh-
and throw us back-

Laid down in Silver
within Gold
Sealed with Ivory
and rare Jade

Bronze and Blood and Definition-

4).
Become of age
in loose dwellings
Ill treated woman raise us,
bind us,
then often free us.

5).
Each spell cast has some cost
some high price to pay
Each ancient stone is as lofty as some ideal

6)
A balance strictly woven
threads of chaos
needles of time-
Each eye, each mind, a Loom
Spin dreams into tangible fabrics
and then torn
into tiny pieces.

Quest, Revolution, Sedition, Indifference
The total lack of restraint,
and the total lack of desire
leaves no trace of ever having been alive...

Books and the authors of books
Publishers and cruel critics,
and worse: Overly kind critics.

Who will judge our History?
Our collections of Deeds, Crimes,
Punishments, endeavors, and Failures?

We any remember we existed at all?

7).
The wind swept
each secret kept
To where each willow is weeping
To where each hollow is sleeping
(somethings bare repeating).
