Final Forgiveness
We ask Him to forgive us.
And He is faithful, too.
But we keep on asking
We don't believe it's true.
When things start to happen
We put Him to the test.
But He placed our every sin
As far as the east is from the west. 1.
He has already cleansed us
Made us whiter than the snow. 2.
But evilness has lied to us
By saying it isn't so.
How many times will we ask
Forgiveness of our sins?
He smiles and said, “I know it, son.”
“You've asked me once again.”
He has sent His Son Jesus
So we can have a way
To talk to Him when we need.
We do that when we pray.
For God so loved the world
He gave His only Son.
If we would believe in Him
Eternal life we've won. 3.
Next time you ask forgiveness
And you know He paid the price.
Try to remember this
You don't have to ask Him twice.
These are my paraphrase).
from NIV
1. Psalms 103:12
2. Isaiah 1:18
3 John 3: 16
