Sometimes I step out of line
Sometimes I step out of line
I never look around.
I fall into my house of cards
Scattered on the ground.
I cannot stand so let me be
The truth is not within.
If you're looking at my future
You'll see it's mighty grim.
If I can't turn this around
I'll end up in life's pits
As depression pushes me
I cling to little bits.
But I can said to me
I can and will not leave.
I will sit and write these lines
Until my fingers bleed.
I wonder if what I call life
Exists inside of me?
And isn't what I see out there
I'm lost on troubled seas.
Can you hear the questions
That are tearing up my mind?
Please don't nurse me along
By say things will be fine.
I do not want to hear the truth
There's things I cannot tell.
Piercing eyes look down on me
I'm in a living hell.
Now the room comes rushing back
I'm in reality.
How can I lose this mess
That's stuck inside of me?
Sometimes I step out of line
