Poetic Verses
No favorite
As people there is that great tendency to associate
Based on skin tone, religion, profession to relate
Knowing that in this there is some common interest
So this type of union would be very hard to resist
Other may use to some eyes as the zone of differentiation
This will be demonstrated by the number of thing in their possession
Feeling good with their house and all that they have accumulated
But never consider than in a flash all this can be decimated
Perhaps they have never or chose to ignore the aftermath of a hurricane
Whose destruction can seem so blatantly uncaring?
So during that period in which it was venting it fury
It clearly demonstrated that it had no respect for anybody.
Those who were present to witness the great fury of Ivan
And saw the manner in which he inflicted such widespread devastation
There were people who matter who they were no matter the social stratification
Had all to stand in line in the broiling sun to receive some form of ration.
On going around the country to see the extent of the damage
There was that sight of people having to forage
Through their possessions strewn about like garbage
Hoping and praying so as to find something they can salvage.
This only goes to show that no matter, so long as you are under the sun
There is no one who can boast of having any privilege position
So when the winds blow, the seas bellow, and the rains fall
That potential for suffering damage is there for any one of us all.
