Pounding
Pounding all angles
Unwelcome and old
Pointless and constant
Turn after turn.
Pain from the pounding
A scream in my head
Gasping and clasping
The silence I yearn.
Voices with sharpness
Thrusting and thick
Hit me so heavy
and leaden my heart.
I sit in the echo
And drown in the words
That stifle my laughter
And pound me apart.
