I Picture You
The many days I go without
A moment yours brought thoughts about
What you are doing and so I go
Imagining, the need to know
I picture you reading a book
Or taking steps of dance, the look
Upon your face I draw so well
Upon my heart in love that fell
From distance where you don't see me
I glance at sky and quite plainly
The Blue above matches quite clear
Of eyes but yours, of yours my dear
Uncork a bottle of favorite wine
Pour small a glass no need to dine
For fine fare is what you are
On porch sitting beneath the stars
A movie night I see previews
Snacking popcorn and whoppers too
Or breaking bread where two once sat
At favorite spots as are the facts
Alone it seems has made it's home
Where knocks are few and I alone
Wish I could have to breathe again
A better life as time did lend
I picture you, soft and perfect
and hold to time, each second worth it
