HerShe sits like an angel in the night, Knowing her own perfection. Without trying she is beautiful, Her laughter dances round my ears, Her warmth causes me to smile. I watch as she touches her child, I see the love so unabated, Bounce back and forth between them. She is my good friend, I love to sit and talk to her, We laugh together. We can see like each other sees. It so comfortable being near her I hope it's the same for her. Once again her beauty catches me. I can see the love she has for someone I feel bad because it not given back to her. And I cry as she beats her wings against The bars of her cage. I will keep telling her That there is someone out there for her. But she must have patience. Sometimes I remind her She wears her heart on her sleeve. In a hurry to find that certain body, That will be with her forever. Again when I visit I feel joy Just to know such a lovely creature. Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
