One Joy in Life
One of the joys I have in life
Is to sit and think of you.
Wonder if you need something
I wonder if you're blue.
Hope this finds you in good health
I hope your load is light.
I hope you have peace of mind
And slumber through the night.
Once when I was very young
I had the strangest dream.
All the things that were in it
Was not what they seemed.
Suddenly someone stepped out
I can't believe it's true.
Time has speeded up
I'm standing next to you.
I can see you smiling
I wake up to the room.
Someday I'll go to see you
I hope that time is soon.
I'll give you a big hug
Until the stuffing's out.
For a while we'll sit and talk
We know what life's about.
I'll be so glad to see you
We'll dance around the room.
I'll keep this all in my mind
Hoping to see you soon.
