Clementine

Evening in Paris was the cologne,
A Corsage she wore on Easter,
Her dark hair down in soft waves
He loved the carnation flower in her hair,
Maybe that was why it was his favorite flower,
it reminded him of the girl he loved.
Simple Elegance, and romance,
She was the young beautiful girl of 18 that
answered a lonely soldiers newspaper ad for
a pen pal,
Her sister had answered too, but he only
replied to her letter.
She fell in love and waited for him.
Her name was Clementine.
