A Child's Christmas Wish
How often do not pay heed or take into consideration
The words, thoughts and expressions of those little children
But sometimes we should tale that moment and listen
They would teach us one of life's most valuable lessons.
As it is now we are approaching that Christmas season
One afternoon I was relaxing with one on my grandchildren
My chores done so we decided to sit and watch some television
There was a program about some children, this cause her to ask some question
One of the questions posed was on the popular topic on HIV
And why these children did not had any mommy or daddy
Followed by on one about famine and also starvation
And did not stop wanting to know about malnutrition
Famine occur in places with low yearly rainfall,
Ni water so the food crops die, and so does the animals
So the people will not get water or food that is so vital
Therefore there will be starvation, or eat food that are not so nutritional
HIV can make the body so weak, that it cannot fight
All those infections that will take such delight and come to light
And many of those children's parents were infected
So they are now orphans as both mommy and daddy are dead.
She looked at me quite sad and shook her head
Saying, can I sent over my mommy and daddy instead
And too I will send my toys to those little girls and boys
So that this Christmas this could bring them some joys
What she said really game me an great idea in way
And I said I will make it come true from this very day
So I got on the phone calling friends about what she has said
Some responded she had really caused them to shift focus instead
Relating that they had been so caught up in their selfish needs
That to the real meaning of the season they paid very little heed
This cause them to gather together many thing for those little children
Base on those wishes the caring thought of a little mind's reaction.
Which made quite sure the many children, had a very joyous Christmas Season.
