Poetry that thinks out loud
THE TENSION IS HIGH
The tension around is so high
your mind it won't let nothing lie
The thoughts bounce around in your head
And echoes repeat what you've said.
You try, as you may, to forget
The moments in life you regret,
But all that is now cannot change
And feelings you're having are strange.
Well you must now sit back and stop
And let all the thinking just drop
For thinking, at times, needs a break
And helps with decisions we make.
As hard at it seems we must try
And that's how one learns to get by;
By stopping then thinking things out
And clearing those moments of doubt.
We question why we're here to live,
but hard times are when we should give
And know when we're not feeling stong;
Those closest will help us along.
