''Folly''

Oracle Part II

Oracle- part two

Oracle-

1).
Oracle,
Let me fathom secret flowers,
Take and bestow names,
recreate creation on a whim.

Oaths-
lively and sudden drunkenness,
Alive-

Wield each Freedom and each desire...

3).
Complete each task,
each lethal labor
each hard won crown,
of laurel and fine green leaves.

Grand, jeweled tusks,
wooden beams
-dreams
to wake you
in sullen cinders
on some other world
just as cruel
just as calm
just as sane.

A lion keeps,
The lion's share
If you dream,
If you dare...

3).
The tongue of the local Oracle,
with many meanings and many questions,
Row upon row of Laws and shallow rules,
To sink each dreamy season like heavy stones,
along with each dreamer.

The lawless, wondrous tumbling,
of new breath,
in new lungs,
-new life,
Vigor.

4).
If I cannot change the world in some profound way,
or change myself in some profound way,
then I shall stop writing.
I have yet to choose between being a Hero,
or simply being  a Man.
