Gods eye
I used to counsel all the time
Listening to people was just fine.
I tried to tell them there is life
It's not always toil, and strife.
The only reason I can speak
Once I too lived on the street.
I know how it makes you feel
All used up not being real.
A hand came and lifted me
Out of this dark and stormy sea.
I went to work on my heart
Believing that would be a start.
God gave me that special hand
It's making me feel just like a man.
Restarted my will gave me a goal
Provided for me, as I grow old.
You might say listen to him
That your chances are getting slim.
You say no one cares that is a lie
You are the apple of God's eye.
Even if you do not believe
He'll be there with your every need.
So reach out with all you heart
And asking God is just a start.
He'll help you get off the street
He'll help you get on your feet.
He has done that not just for me
He'll stand you up and that is free.
