Christmas Time
There is no mistaking the excitement generated at Christmas time
What a transformation it seems to bring about to some people's mind
It is amazing to see the extent of change in some people
Their actions earlier in the year, did not shoe that such was possible
Greater effort are made to ensure that the surroundings are clean
Not unsightly or no smelly garbage are left lying around to be seen
Those bushes, shrubs and even lawns that seemed to be out of control
Now so well manicured, looking like a gem to behold
That guy who was one dirty, smelling and laid in the gutter
Well surprisingly has somehow got that act together
Hardly recognizable as now looking so smart and dapper
Is it that spirit of the season that made him change for the better?
And the music being played how is sound so sweetly
Could the reason be that it only being played seasonally?
So this would enable it to create that sort of impact
There it would most certainly have such a positive effect.
In houses the inside has such a very pleasant décor
As there are decorations one each window and door
An assortment of light, flashing colors like a kaleidoscope
What a feeling such awe this can definitely evoke
But to me there is not like going window shopping
Watching too the other shoppers in their big spending
Many too get snared by those retailers sales promotion
Trying to win one of the cash prizes offered during the season.
