Where am I?
I'd like to say hi to me
I don't know where I've been.
I haven't had the time
To check the shape I'm in.
Am I here or am I there
I can't find me anywhere.
I asked the neighbors down the street,
They don't seem to care.
Now I sit and ponder
What became of me?
I cry here on the corner
“People hear my plea.”
Nobody seems to know me
I feel I'll fade away.
If I stand and wait too long
I'll end up in my grave.
Something is so noisy
It's coming from my mind.
Caught within a prison
I've freed this soul of mine.
I found I was held captive
In this daze I am in.
Now I feel me blending
the me, the I, my friend.
Now I feel much better
I'll wonder on my way.
I'm glad I came along
To hear the things I say.
It is egocentric
To think of only me.
But if I didn't do it
Then no one would, you see.
