HOMESICK

I sit and yearn for the place
of my childhood days,
where memories linger
and happiness stays.

Me and my family
in a nice big house,
when I was married
I brought in my spouse.

I even had childrenured
of my own in that place,
with a supportive family
that rented us space.

We would get together
my sisters and me,
we would talk about life
and how it used to be.

We would introduce friends
and night games we'd play,
through good and bad times
we handled each day.

When it was time to move
I realized its worth,
I lived in that house
since the day of my birth.

There are many stories
of much that occured,
throughout our lives
while I struggled with word.

It was a wonderful home
but in life there's goodbye,
It was hard to leave
and the change made me cry.

We had gotten older
some with children and spouse,
but, I still miss the comfort
of my childhood house.
