Be not Discouraged
Do not be discouraged,
By things that are not right;
You became privileged,
For walking in the light.
Since the Lord has given,
Through His mercy and grace;
To us under Heaven,
The Gospel to embrace.
We refuse shameful ways,
For folks to be enticed;
In order to herd strays,
Backsliding from Christ.
So the Good News we tell,
Always completely true;
Finding where you will dwell,
When your time will be due.
It hides from those dying,
Those who do not believe;
They think we are lying,
So they will not receive.
This world blinded their minds,
And cannot see the light;
In Christ it never binds,
For knowing what is right.
Let it not be ignored,
Through darkness we will shine;
As servants of the Lord,
For He is the Divine.
