When you come into my heart to stay
the blue birds will have flown away
As a blanket of snow covers ground
my love for you shall not be found
When days of loving you are over
the sun shines on fields of clover
Roses bloom in warmth of spring
new love to me they shall bring
You took my heart promising love true
then broke my trust in loving you
Like a winter rose dying in the snow
my love for you has lost its glow
When snow falls on roses in gloom
their petals can no longer bloom
Like icy tears I shed for you today
silence in love will forever stay
